Wow a second post already? I have finals this week, but I can't seem to stop this. I'm quite obsessive, and I have a question. How did Eugenides get the scar on his face?? I can't remember, and it's driving me crazy. I been looking and looking for the cause of it in the Thief, because I vaguely remember something along the lines of, "All my beauty gone", except I don't know if it actually exists in there somewhere, I made it up, or if it's a quote from something else. Helppp.

I don't have my Thief copy on hand (on loan to my neighbor) but I'm pretty sure it's on the way to Eddis when they're crossing the river (they have to dislodge the make-shift bridge or it dislodges itself) while they are being chased and shot at by soldiers. It is one of those shots that nicks him, methinks.

Thankkk youuu so much. I dunno why that stood out so in my mind, but the fact that I've had all four books at my disposal for two weeks has driven me a little crazy, and I have just been grabbing and reading randomly.

It was the Attolians shooting at him, Sophos, and the Magus while they were on the bridge - one bullet dislodged some rock from the cliff, and it hit him. It left a feather-shaped scar, which was the symbol of the protection/approval of the god Eugenides. That's how he knew it would scar.

I think Costis also got a (possibly feather-shaped) scar on his cheek in KoA, when he shot open the door to Gen's bedroom.
