Costis: We've just received an urgent coded message from Sounis! Not to be confused with Sophos!

Gen: *is flipping through a fashion magazine* Oh, the reprobates... Did they finally do something useful? All they ever want to talk about is what shampoo I use.

Costis: Your Majesty, it seems-

Gen: *isn't listening* Hmph... No white after Labor Day. What idiots.

Costis: As I was saying Your Majesty-

Gen: Costis.

Costis: Yes, Your Majesty?

Gen: When's Labor Day?

Costis: YOUR MAJESTY WILL YOU PLEASE LISTEN!

Gen: *almost spills his tea* COSTIS! Are you trying to make me ruin this magazine? Do you know how much trouble I had to go through to steal it from the other dimension?

Costis: You just bribed Lady Jane with cookies. Who is, by the way, a horrible woman, who made me carry all the bags.

Gen: *picks magazine back up* Just don't let her hear you say that.

*phone rings*

Gen: *picks up phone* Hello. Err... Yup, I'll tell him. *covers mouthpiece* Costis, Lady Jane wants you to know she heard that.

Costis: ...

Gen: *goes back to phone* What? Okay... Thanks. Yeah, I know. He is useless. Bye. *hangs up phone* Costis! Why didn't you tell me there was a evil ninja-cat heading this way?

Costis: *grinds his teeth*

Gen: *stands up* All right! Station more guards! Bring me my sword! Find some catnip!

Costis: Your Majesty, this assassin is very sneaky. He could be here any minu-

Ninja-cat: You rang?

Gen: *turns around* Actaully, no. I didn't. *picks up bell and rings it* Now I did.

Ninja-cat: This is the day I silence that irritating wit of yours.

Costis: Could you also take care of this one girl. She's small with blond hair-

Gen: Costis! *makes sweeping gesture* Assassin in the room.

Ninja-cat: Prepare yourself, fools! *leaps forward with razor sharp claws*

*Costis and Gen dodge*

*Ninja-cat goes flying out window*

Ninja-cat: MRRRROWWW!

*splash*

*Costis and Gen look out window*

Costis: It landed in the moat.

Gen: Sending a ninja-cat to a castle with a moat... Hmm... I don't think this plan was very well thought out.

*phone rings*

Gen: *picks it up* Hello. Yup. Yup. Sure. Okay. Thanks.

Costis: *groans*

Gen: Lady Jane says she is glad you are okay.

Costis: *hopeful note* Really?

Gen: She also wants you to know that she heard what you said to the ninja-cat, and she's plotting her revenge as we speak.

Costis: ...

Oh dang. I was all done with Sounis, and ready to go dry dishes and do the other things my mother is requesting I do because I've been sitting here for an hour, and then I had to go to CHATZY when I saw the notification in my email inbox, and at least no one was there because then I would have been SUCKED INTO THE DEEP ABYSS OF CHAT and I really should be packing and I've lost the ability to punctuate well it is summer!

That's a very very nice beginning, Mirkwook (if you ever see this....), and I will remember it. EXCEPT NOW IT'S STUCK IN MY HEAD!

Oh, I know...

I was going to do the dishes, but then I got distracted by Sounis. I was going to fold the laundry too, but then I got distracted by Sounis. I was going to vacuum but then... Well you get the picture. Which reminds me, I was going to clean the bathroom today. *sigh* At least, I did most of the house cleaning yesterday.
