Eddis, Attolia, Sounis

Oh my god, it's February! Before the Holidays, we decided on E. Nesbit's Enchanted Castle, as our stand-alone winter read for the While She Knits Bookclub.

A recommendation from MWT, this book was published in 1907, so we're reaching pretty far back in the timeline. 

Jerry, Jimmy, and Cathy stumble upon a mysterious castle with a beautiful princess asleep in the garden. The princess is really Mabel, the housekeeper's niece, who is only pretending to be royalty. But when she shows them a secret room filled with treasure where they discover a magical ring, enchantment becomes a reality.

The While She Knits community reading of the Chestomanci Chronicles is well under way. We will be discussing Charmed Life, the first in the series, one week from today in the Conspiracy Room on May 19th at...

No worries if you haven't started yet. This is a very short book, and you could probably finish it in an afternoon.

To give everyone plenty of time to get their library loan in and finish it, let's go with Sunday, March 10th as our chat date. The chat will be held in the Conspiracy Room at the usual time of Noon PT/ 1pm MT/ 2pm CT/ 3pm ET. 

We can finalize which DWJ series we would like to read during the chat. (Personally, I'm leaning towards Chestomanci, though we could do the Dalemark Quartet at a later date.) Expect a similar time frame to the QT re-read we did last year, so starting in late Aprilish. (I'm going to have to lock myself in a room and do nothing but taxes till then pretty soon here, but I will emerge to talk about this book.)

I have a schedule for you! In case you haven't heard, Sounis is hosting a complete reread and discussion of ALL seven books of the QT series, now with Conspiracy Room chats at an earlier time.

So, so, so.... That's two weeks to read each book with chat dates always on Sundays at Noon PT/ 1pm MT/ 2pm CT/ 3pm ET.  You get three weeks to read RoT, due to its length, and incidentally, three weeks with Sophos in CoK. Not because I'm showing favoritism to Sophos (who could blame me), but because it proved impossible to avoid Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day weekend, and Father's Day without skipping a week. Why are there so many holidays in spring?  

Hope you can join us for some if not most of the discussions. If you want to just talk about the books and not reread, that's perfectly okay too.
