Warning, ridiculously long posts ahoy!

So, me and my illustrious friend got to talking last night on MSN. As usual, because we are the only two people in this general area who have read the books, we inevitably slip into the happy activity of fan-girling all over the books in a completely undignified manner.
We started out as kind of generally referencing them and then slipped into full blown insanity for about seven word pages.

If this LJ Cut doesn't work I will have someone granched...

Eugenides:

Goat

Irene :

Foot

EUGENIDES :

YES.

YOU WIN

Irene :

As always.

EUGENIDES :

Be blessed in your endeavors.

Any other mediocre fool would have wondered what the hell I was talking about.

Alas, the poor neglected souls who have not yet read the Queen's Thief series...

We’ll have to have them granched.

Irene :

Agreed, those poor, poor 'things'

(They are not worthy of a title)

EUGENIDES :

"Granch-ees?"

Irene :

This sounds like a positively painful lesson.

I like it.

When I grow up...

I want to be Irene.

EUGENIDES :

I do not look forward to that day.

…Don't hurt me.

*Winning grin*

Irene :

Pffft

Irene doesn't make exceptions.

EUGENIDES :

But, I could be your minister of the Exchequer!

Irene :

Hmmmmm

No

You can be......

Nahuseresh

<3

EUGENIDES :

GODS NO.

Irene :

(The love heart is directed at you, not Nahuserfish)

EUGENIDES :

Sure it is.

I've seen the goo goo eyes you've been making at him across the court.

Irene :

I'm sorry, but my love is taken by Costis.

EUGENIDES :

Poor Costis.

*runs*

Irene :

....well not goo goo eyes

But flirting certainly.

Is that Costis running?

EUGENIDES :

No, me. But I think you missed my meaning, O Sagacious Queen.

Irene :

Oh no

I got your point, Soon-To-Be-One-Handed ‘Example'

I shall granch you

And you shall enjoy it.

EUGENIDES :

eep.

I think that Nahuserfish deserves it more than me.

Irene :

*slow predatory smirk of a sadist who knows they're about to win*

EUGENIDES :

Is it sad that I know that smirk too well?

Irene :

....I'm going to say no

But I may be biased.

EUGENIDES :

I thought you might.

But who will be my lover if you're with darling Costis? Nahuserfish's beard might accidentally impale me...

It would be a sad loss, to be sure. I can hear the court lamenting my erstwhile, yet fulfilling and contributive life...

*sigh*

baa

…..

Irene?

…..

XD

…..

I promise not to baa anymore.

(Not when anyone can hear me...)

Irene :

.....

Granching time.

EUGENIDES :

D:

Irene :

Hahahahaha

*bark*

EUGENIDES :

Behaviour most unfitting of a Queen.

Are you losing that icy exterior, O Cold One?

Defrosting, perhaps?

Irene :

...not possible.

Perhaps a drop of water has fallen in the barren wasteland of my heart.

But I'm not quite sure if it's going to be enough.

I'll try anyway.

EUGENIDES :

Where there's a drop of water in the barren wasteland there's hope, Your Majesty.

Irene :

Where there's life there's hope?

EUGENIDES :

No. Definitely not...

XP

How's my sarcasm?

I think I broke it falling off a wall the other day.

Irene :

Lacking.

*deadpan*

EUGENIDES :

I will work on it.

For you.

x)

Irene :

Lo, the transforming power of love.

You mean you haven't seen it?

I salute you dear Eugenides. This was truly my most memorable msn conversation.

You should have put in the part with Eddis ;)

Oh yes I have, and he gets so adorable and flustered, looking at his boots, I would like to see more of it. Why can't I have conversations like that with my friends? None of them understand this concept of reading books for fun :(

No, I'm so out of the technological loop, I really should get MSN soon.
And it is such a sad situation, maybe someday they'll read the books, even if it is just to shut me up for a little while. I think I have one friend intrigued enough to at least listen to the books on CD when we drive home for Christmas or something.
