I am from southern Wisconsin. I know, I know, this is ridiculously far from Florida.

Regardless, I want to go to the meetup. I know this is impractical, but I just couldn't live with myself if I did not ask if anyone else from my general area is going, or would think about going if there was another person (or maybe a few more, if I can rustle them up) to help pay for gas. Also, my car can't make it that far and I'm too young to rent a car so...there are a few more conditions.

But seriously, anyone from near WI thinking about going? Let me know!

I think she's moving/has already moved to the midwest this year. Before NORWAY. So you may be in luck.

Ha! I'm not planning on going, but I am also from southern Wisconsin. Who knew that other people from my state had read this book? Which is probably a fairly ridiculous thought to have, considering how many people live here, but it's nice to know all the same.

Platteville-ish. I haven't converted anyone, either, so I'm all alone.

Nope. I have other obligations.

Posting anonymously because I don't really want to link my location to my LJ on an open post and I don't know if you can screen comments, but...

I may be in Platteville. And I may know at least one other Platteville fan. Sadly, I'm not going to Florida (although I would really like to--the meetup would be great and so would the entire conference). But know that you are not alone!

Not to harsh on your dream, mortalasabee, but I'm going to be so heavily scheduled on this trip . . . I'd feel really bad to have you drive all that way for thirty minutes in a coffee shop in a hotel lobby!

I might as well be living in WI, I'm NC and almost no one ever comes to NC. Man, and I used to live in Cleveland too, I weep when I see how many peoplego there each year.

Yes! There's a lovely little book store in Raleigh called Quail Ridge Books that hosted Scott Westerfeld recently, a bit out of my way but I would find someway to make the strip!

Were you there too then? Cool, I was one of the people who came in late (stupid state fair traffic) and I was knitting while he was talking. XD
