Delurking to give thanks

I give thanks for this community. :)

Where else could I find a community of fans who intelligently discuss a series, delving into hidden meanings and character analyses, with awesome comics and other goodies thrown in along the way? I mean, most other communities are heavy on the fan but light on the intelligence. (Edward! No, Jacob! No, Edward!... Sigh.)

I usually lurk, but I hope all you posters know that I read nearly each and every one of your snarky, smart, and scrumptious comments each week.

Don't get me started on the intelligence of the Twi. fanatic fandom. You don't see me sending death threats to Emma Roberts's Twitter, do you? Yeah, there was that thing with Greenwillow... But I had no idea they'd actually see it!

Many comms are larger, but not nearly as active in my opinion. I've never found another comm that really discusses its media of worship the way QT fans do. Then again... As for the snark... My snarky commentaries are necessary outlets for my sense of humor. If don't write it here, it shows up in my schoolwork, which does not go over as well.

It's about comments on the Internet in general, and how the quality of discussion has degenerated, and possible reasons why.

The only thing I could think of as I was reading it was, well, this guy's never been to Sounis :)
