Family Theme Challenge

THE QUEEN'S THIEF FAMILY CHALLENGE
The Theme: Family
We see a lot of different families in the Queen's thief world, some are large like Eugenides family, some are small or are now gone like the Magus or Irene's family. So the challenge here is to write about families. You can write about one of the characters relationship with one of their family members, such as Gen's relationship with his father or his cousins, etc. You can even write about families that don't quite exist yet, such as what Eddis and Sophos will be like when they're married and have children.
Just keep in mind if you go that route, try to keep the focus on the canon characters. The point about this challenge is to write about the canon characters and their relations to their families so we don't want to get too distracted by fanmade characters.
To help inspire you guys, this time around I wrote a short fic to help give some ideas. Here's the fic I couldn't resist writing for the challenge, but I WILL NOT BE ADDING THIS FIC INTO THE VOTING I didn't believe that would be fair since I'm running this challenge.
Deadline: December 28th
I know the holidays are a busy time, so hopefully this will give everyone enough time. And yes I will post a reminder as the date gets closer like last time.

I've been wanting to write something about his parents for awhile, but it's only turing out just now. I seem to write my best when I'm tired. Hmm...
