YAYAYAYAY! On the other hand, way to give away major plot points in the summary, ALA. Surely librarians should know better.*

* I say this with love, as someone who has getting to ALA Midwinter as one of her major life goals.

I was talking to [livejournal.com profile] aged_crone and was telling her that I plan on going to the ALA conference in June. We had this exchange:

Me: I guess there's no need to buy a Newbery/Caldecott banquet ticket, is there? :(

[livejournal.com profile] aged_crone : I think you should buy a ticket for the Newbery/Caldecott banquet. Then you should stand up and bellow - "Philistines! A Conspiracy of Kings was the best, and should have won, and would have if you had any sense, taste, judgment, or intelligence!" Think how exciting it would be to be dragged bodily from the room, screaming imprecations!
