I was talking to aged_crone and was telling her that I plan on going to the ALA conference in June. We had this exchange:

Me: I guess there's no need to buy a Newbery/Caldecott banquet ticket, is there? :(

aged_crone : I think you should buy a ticket for the Newbery/Caldecott banquet. Then you should stand up and bellow - "Philistines! A Conspiracy of Kings was the best, and should have won, and would have if you had any sense, taste, judgment, or intelligence!" Think how exciting it would be to be dragged bodily from the room, screaming imprecations!

It looks like it's supposed to be some sort of alternate history thing about the Beatles. Don't know though. This is the first time I've ever heard of it.
