Something Mildly Amusing

My friend and I had to teach our class the poem Meditation 17 by John Donne. In our immaturity we decided to make a powerpoint with a bunch of badly drawn cartoons, and as I was involved, I just had to put in Eugenides somewhere. Throughout the powerpoint, Eugenides pops in randomly. Unfortunately, when I finally uploaded this presentation, none of the effects worked, so you can't see him sneak in. Ah, well. Anyway...see if you can find all the Gen references!! It is very easy. Just be aware that some slides make absolutely no sense because the effects aren't working. The answer key is below the video in the cut. Also, before anyone bugs me about it: I KNOW I drew the map all wrong, but I was just sort of making it up - all I really know is that Eddis is surrounded by mountains and in between Attolia and Sounis, both of which are near the sea. AND I know the metaphor in slide two is not actually a metaphor. Rest assured it has been fixed.

Meditation 17

Slide one: The girl hanging upside down has a shirt that says "I <3 Gen" on it - really difficult to see
Slide two: The girl with black hair has the King of Attolia cover on her shirt
Slide three:  The girl with black hair has "I <3 hooks" on her shirt (hook is drawn)
Slide five: Eugenides is in the left foot
Slide nine: He's right there
Slide 11: This is where the effects messed everything up. The first picture shows Attolia, Eddis, and Sounis united  with the mountains making a smiley face. It then fades into the picture you see now, which, if you can't tell, is in the shape of a SAD face........yes, I know our attempts of cleverness astound you.
Slide 13: Again, he's right there.

P.P.S. I know this seems like middle-school work, but let it be known that my friend and I are NOT that young. We just have a very juvenile sense of humor...

I found this very amusing. I also thought the library was a reference to Sophos' dreams in CoK, but I guess you didn't even intend it to be. (Also, I do like John Donne :) He's cool.)

Sadly, no =( It's a great idea, though! I wish we had thought of it. Truth be told, by the time we reached that far, we were losing our steam, so we just decided to stick on an obvious picture and save our energies to create other jokes. As sloppy as this looks, it took WAY TOO LONG.

We Sounisians are probably conditioned to finding hidden meanings! I thought "you should write this down" was a reference to Gen and the Mede notes he gave to Costis.

xD Perhaps I subconsciously referenced the books without realizing it. However, I fear that the rest of you Sounisians are just cleverer than me.

The class, and even my teacher (I think...hope) found it funny, or as funny as it ever could be for them. No one else had read the books, so no one knew who Gen really was, except as "that one guy Lizzy adores."
