Prompt Me!

queensthiefI was going to do this around Valentine's Day, but real life got in the way! So... I've been planning to write a song-fic set for my favorite QT pairings, and I thought... why not make it a present for Sounis!
I've got ten spots (I'll take up the count if there's more of you who really want a fic), and I'd love for you to leave me a song and a pairing. I will then write a short song-fic to match your prompt, much like what is featured in my other sets, Play With Fire and Black Roses.
RULES
One fic per person, please; but... feel free to leave me more than one song, if you want me to pick which one I like best.
I will write fic for Gen/Irene, Sophos/Helen, Costis/Agape, Minster of War/Gen's Mom, and I might even write Magus/Helen if you bribe me with magical cookies. I'm not really interested enough in any of the other pairings to write fic for them. I am, in the end, beholden to my muse.
Please, leave song title, song artist, and (not necessary but much appreciated) a YouTube link, so I can listen to the song and make sure I have the right one.
You don't have to leave love/romantic songs. I can get inspiration from most anything.
Please, do not prompt me with a song I've already used in my other song-fic sets.
If you'd like to further elaborate on your prompt (i.e. offer a timeline setting), feel free to do so.
If you're drawing a blank on a song, feel free to pick something from either me personal QT playlist or the official Sounis mix.

How about doing this song from Gen and Irene's perspective? I'd love to see it from QT time frame, I'm reminded of Irene telling Gen that she listened outside his door and she's been living with his grief, rage, and pain ever since (pg. 359). And and and her reaction when she thought he was dead. And of Gen telling Helen he dreams of Attolia. I'm just percolating thinking about it!

Alright, do you want dual perspective on the same scene, say when Irene thought he was dead, or dual relation fic (my own term) in which I draw parallels between two different scenes. The parallel, in this case, being that they feel haunted by the other. For example, when Irene thought Gen was hiding in the shadows and when Gen was dreaming about her. (Yeah, something about Taylor Swift inspires me.)

I think its the references to running, forever, as well as the idea of leaving home behind with the one you love without looking back that makes me think of Rose and the Doctor. The MV is also very cute. I'm so tired of creepy MVs these day, this one was very re-freshing!

Oooh and I second your opinion on the MV. It's like a lot of videos these days are just made to make the viewer feel heavy so they'll have a hard time forgetting the video and the song.

Dahahaha! Never seen that (thank god). I've only watched PokerFace, well... More like the first 20 seconds, after which my eyes had gone wide at the glowing disco ball on her head, the creepy dalmatian aliens, and the pool that was there for reasons undisclosed. The video was immediately closed, and I found a Leverage fanvid in order to listen to the song! XD I'll take Eliot and Parker over dalmatian aliens any day!
