A Most Satisfying Chat
Sep. 18th, 2011 08:20 pmIf you couldn't make it to the chat today, you missed a good one. There was the typical talk about biceps, goat wool underwear, and Costis's lady friends, then some discussion about the newest short story and the next book-to-come.
Then, a very special visitor dropped in.
Who is living in Norway these days.
Who is a famous author.
At that point, the discussion ranged from Thor Heyerdahl and the original Kon-Tiki (apparently, it is in a museum in Oslo), to Slartibarfast, to how to make Norwegian accents on your keyboard ("Not Telling.").
tiegirlpoked a little about the next book, to no avail. But don't be a bit surprised if somehow a large reed boat ends up in it.
A good time was had by all. Thanks, Megan, for stopping by to chat!

*Yes please? Please? Please?

Will it be named 'Irene'?? And will Attolia have to row it?

Thank you for dropping in, Megan! (I hope it's ok if I call you that). It totally made my day!
(And thank you for writing this up, Checkers!)

Look for the pw in this post:

To read the backlog, once you are in chatzy click on "Save/Print". Put in the previous page number (right now it is 47) then click on the "Save/Print" button on the main part of the page. It should take you to the place right where the chat started. Chatzy is not the easiest chat site in the world to use. It is, however, relatively cheap. Let me know if you still can't get in!

Date: 9/22/11 04:15 pm (UTC)(It's so great to be a librarian with an undergrad degree in German Language/Linguistics! I am a veritable font of useless information! HTML! SGML! EAD! Language history! etc.!)
But I digress....
I AM SO JEALOUS!
Not that I don't love you guys, of course, but I can never take part in any of the chats -- they're always at a bad time. So I actually am a tiny bit jealous.
Oh, well.
You guys are awesome, even if tiegirl didn't manage to get all the information we want about the next book.
Hmm....A large reed boat filled with elephants? Or do the elephants swim?
