What Do You Have?

Here's an interesting question for a discussion. Do any of you own a particular item or have gotten something because it reminds you of the Queen Thief series? A necklace, a shirt, maybe even ate something because you read it in the books, etc

For starters, I will fully admit I have gotten two pairs of earrings because they remind me of Irene's earrings in The Queen of Attolia





Fun fact, the bottom ones I bought for myself, but the top ones were made by my fiancée while we were in a bead shop. I instantly love them, and he didn't even know about the earrings in the novel. XD



So, my fellow Queen Thief lovers, do you guys have anything that you keep because it reminds you of the series?

I love the bottom pair of earrings...Irene would too! Personally, I have an Attolia shirt, which is bright red, the sleeves go over my hands and it has a cut out top that just seems very Attolia-ish. I'm wearing it in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtCaW4Tbwss but you can't really see the sleeves....

P.S. I didn't know you were getting married, Earthstar...I'm very happy for you!

I was pretty pleased. (Then I made her read the books. Ha!)

I don't usually wear gold jewelry, but of course in this case it's part of what makes them so very awesome. I wear them with an eastern-looking metallic gold shawl that my mom brought back for me from Israel, and for some reason I always think of Gen sitting like a god on his golden bedspread... :P

I bought a pair of low rise, soft-soled boots like Gen's in TT. They are very good for sneaking. :) I also bought yellow earrings in the hopes that Gen would come around to steal them, but no luck so far!

For clothing, I want a cloak like Sophos's and the Magus's, but I haven't found any yet!

I have a cloak from my Lord of the Rings symphony/ midnight showing costumes. Cannot wait to bust it out again, come Hobbit time! XD

I have a pair of square cut garnets that remind of blood drop red rubies that Gen gives Attolia! And I have a golden headband that reminds me of Eddis. Oh, and a green velvet dress!

Minnetonka sells amazingly comfortable moccasins with the option of soft soles. I don't know if Eddisians wear fringe, but it is a fictional society so who knows! Personally, I love them and they remind me of Gen. Even the ones with rubber soles are soft and flexible; worthy of a sneaky thief. :)
