I've been playing The Sims for over ten years now, and my obsessions tend to blend into each other, hence this post.

Gen and Irene came about in the midst of a Perfect Genetics Challenge--the rules of which, essentially, are that your "heir," the Sim you'll use to carry on the family name, must always have the same color hair and eyes as your "founder," the Sim you started with originally. Early on, I decided I wanted to name every child after a literary character. After rereading The Thief, I knew I had to use the name Gen. As luck would have it, the Sim I named Gen turned out to have the proper hair and eye color.

Which is to say, bright blue hair and turquoise eyes. XD

Of course, what is "Gen" without an Irene? While Gen was born in the game with previous family genetics intact, I created Irene from scratch. I didn't want to spent too much time fussing with her (otherwise she'd never be done!), but for what she was made to be, I'm quite pleased.

Seeing them interact in-game was adorable and amusing and sometimes terrifying. For example, when they first met, I zoomed in to take a picture of Gen flirting...

...AND IRENE TURNED AND STARED DIRECTLY AT THE CAMERA. I'M PRETTY SURE I WAS ON THE RECEIVING END OF THE QUEEN OF ATTOLIA'S INFAMOUS GLARE AND I'M PRETTY SURE I DIED.

They also made out. A lot. Without any sort of prompting.

Over the course of their generation, they had five children: Persephone, Costis, Sounis, Eddis, and Attolia. The last three were triplets (and Sounis ended up as the heir):

And Costis--I couldn't resist the outfit:

Gen also had an... amusing... stint at university, where he earned a degree in physical education. No pun intended. Ahem.

Gen went on to become a master thief in the criminal career path. Only after getting arrested a few times, but hey, at least he never lost his hand? :P

But what truly matters is, in the end, he and Irene lived happily ever after. <3

I had a blast playing with these two. They're easily among my favorite Sims. I have their file saved in a special place, so if I ever feel like going back and making them immortal and playing with them forever, I can. :3

Do any of you play the Sims? Have you ever made Queen's Thief Sims, or any other Sims based on/named after your favorite literary characters?

Oh. My. Gods. This is so fantastic! *flails* Gen with blue hair is hilarious/awesome (He would so do something like that, too, just to prove he could. Especially if Irene told him it wasn't Kingly. Ha!) And Irene is just lovely, that first picture of her is breathtaking! Well done! And I think I would have died after receiving that death glare too. Oh gods, too funny. Thanks for sharing, this just made my morning :)
