You've been several people since then; have you found she still holds up, or do you relate to her stories in different ways now?

Hmmmm. Good question. I relate in different ways, I think. And also she holds up as a comfort re-read, most times, taking me back to a much simpler time. Like I'm revisiting my childhood. *has trouble expressing feelings and ideas, ha*

I never grew up & joined the adult conspiracy & am thus still very in touch with my inner child. This comes in handy when discovering later in life authors I would've adored as a kid, such as Edward Eager & Elizabeth Enright [just for some assonance].
