tumblr mysteries
Jan. 20th, 2016 04:28 pmNot sure if I'm the only one paying close attention to mwt's tumblr, but there's a little mystery there that may interest some of you! I didn't notice until recently, but for a while now, she's been tagging certain posts with the acronym "rkif", and not letting on what it means. Some people have been speculating that it could stand for the title of the next book, in light of the recent rumors about release dates... Is this a cleverly disguised hint? A taunt? Or something else entirely??
Anyway, here are all the tagged posts, if anybody wants to scour them and make some guesses!

Date: 1/21/16 04:32 pm (UTC)The K could stand for Kairos (for the Magus, if the theory that his name means "time" is correct?) or more likely, Kamet. MWT did say "slave" when describing this book in five words.
I've speculated maybe the F stands for Ferria. I didn't even consider the K standing for a place, but Kathodicia would be awesome. (Though aren't there a lot of rocks there?)
My friend (whom I recently got hooked on these books) thinks maybe the -IF could stand for "in February"? It's a weird thing to tag those posts with, if that's true, but I just nodded and smiled. Anything to help her get through her (comparatively short XD) wait for the next book.

Red Kilts in Ferria. (Can you picture Dite in one?)
I tried to think of some rude ones, but couldn't. Where are some reprobates when you need them?

Non-fiction?

Date: 1/21/16 07:56 pm (UTC)(Tumblr is still a big mystery to me, too. I only found out recently that you're supposed to "like" posts so you can find them later, and I thought, oh, liking something saves it? Huh, I just "like" things because I enjoy them but don't necessarily want to repost them. WHOOPS.)

Just give us random hints about the next book -- do not pay attention at all!

But actually, the spider -- and particularly the caterpillars -- reminded me of Sophos, and his nature studies when he was supposed to be building walls. (Don't know about the slug, though. I will concede -- that's gross!)
