Hey, everyone! Lady Jane and I have beek kicking (see icon) around ideas to keep the activity on [livejournal.com profile] sounis going, while doing all we can to spread the love of the Queen's Thief books all over social media. We think cross-posting news and media is the way to go, since there are so many platforms out there used by so many different people. Although a few years ago everyone was using just a few sites, it seems like now there are lots of different favorites.

[livejournal.com profile] dannybailey has come up with some great ideas--more to come from her (hopefully) later. In the meantime, if you are a Tumblr user, please follow our QT-related blogs:

ninedaysaqueen.tumblr.com

I know lots of you have Tumblr accounts. Please feel free to cross post any Tumblr QT news/fanart here on LJ, or cross post any of our insanity on your own Tumblr pages. And if you leave a comment with your Tumblr site, we'll follow you, too.

If you all have other ideas about how to use other platforms to talk about the books, we'd love to hear them.

This is a really great idea. I remember a few years ago someone from here also started a Sounis blog over at Tumblr, though it seems as if they haven't updated for a long time now.

There are a couple of Tumblr blogs dedicated to the Queen's thief series. I wonder if it's a good idea to ask them to give us a shout-out post or something, just so people would know of our existence. Too often, I here people saying there that the QT fandom doesn't exist and that there's no place to discuss and talk about the books, and I can't help but feel a little miffed. (I think it doesn't help though that many people on Tumblr don't know about LJ as a platform or don't like it, or that quite a few were actually from LJ who got fed up with LJ and left.)

I don't know if you or Lady Jane are already doing this, but you could also open up submissions on your blogs, which will allow people to submit posts, so it takes a little bit of the pressure off of your shoulders to continually keep up with things.

That was me! I started a qt tumblr blog a while back (heleneddis). But I haven't maintained it in a while because it was less rewarding than talking with people on here. It felt like sending things into the void and that wasn't so fun for me.

There are lots of other qt blogs going now though. I'm proud mine was one of the first and maybe I'll go back to it sometime. In the meantime I post qt stuff on my normal tumblr, hazelwillow.tumblr.com and I follow you!

I too keep wanting to send people here. but then i forget to come check here myself. i miss the conversation a lot.

I suppose I haven't mentioned Queen's Thief much on Tumblr, but I'm mollyringle.tumblr.com if anyone wants! I've followed these two blogs now. :)

I also recently joined Instagram, and noticed people sometimes post pics of the books under hashtags like #queensthiefseries or #meganwhalenturner.

So happy I can follow Sounis from tumblr! that way I'll actually see the posts - yay! And I can come back here and comment.

I don't know how to crosspost.

My tumblr is hazelwillow.tumblr.com
I also ran heleneddis.tumblr.com - although i have been too busy to maintain it of late.

xo to all

I've been toying with the idea of starting a kind of Queen's Thief aesthetics/visuals side-blog on tumblr. Bee earrings, embroidered gowns, watches, cannon, walled gardens, ancient statuary--that sort of thing. Thoughts? I'll have to think of a clever title for it...

I think that's an awesome idea! I would definitely subscribe to it. :)
