Well, the last contest was not a disaster, so I’m going to try having a second one. It will be a worldwide contest. I will pay the shipping costs if someone outside the US wins.
Rules
In honor of the absolutely amazing checkers, creator of The King of Legottolia, it will work something like this:
To enter– produce and describe in 150 words or fewer (or no words, some things speak for themselves, don’t they?) a scene from any of my books– including books not yet published or even written–(use your imagination, no spoilers from those who have already read an ARC, please) –executed (mostly executed) in Lego.
Send the images and the words in an email message to tildemwt@gmail.com and I will post them to a new tumblr King of Legottolia. If you don’t see your entry on the tumblr within a few days of submitting it, you’d better submit again. I will try to send you an email when it goes up. No promises.
After the contest closes on MARCH 15, 2017, 12 NOON GMT, I will post a link to a website where anyone can vote for the winner. Finalists can go twist as many arms as they like to acquire votes. See how neatly I absolve myself of responsibility.
On the one hand, this is going to be a bit more time consuming to enter than the last contest (I mean, unless you crocheted a doll for the last contest, in which case this will be a cake walk). On the other hand, I am not expecting as many entries, so there should be much higher odds of winning. You can enter multiple times.
Again, I reserve the right to cancel the contest at a moment’s notice if no one enters or too many people enter, or the Lego people send me a cease and desist order.
And all -- All -- ALL my Lego is long since packed awaaaay in my parents' loft...!!! **breaks down and weeps bitterly** I'm might have to seek comfort by joining the drunken squirrels :P
