Date: 5/24/17 12:39 pm (UTC)I checked. Sure enough, the form had autofilled or autocorrected to the wrong town! What am I to do? There's a very small chance that the post office will notice the error ("That town doesn't have a street by that name, but the next town over does...") and send it accordingly, or they might notice my unusual last name and recall that my in laws live in town..... *sigh* It's hopeless. I'll have to contact the seller and hope that the package returns to them smoothly.

Date: 5/27/17 01:06 am (UTC)Is there any hope for going to the postal sorting office, in case they have it impounded in the "returns bin" for the incorrect address?

Date: 5/27/17 03:48 am (UTC)If you have a tracking number for the package, you could contact the post office help line and they may be able to correct the address digitally. Unfortunately, packages with inncorrect addresses can sit for awhile at post offices or distrabution centers, while clerks try to figure out where it's suppose to go. If they're unsure, they will return to sender rather then risk misdelivery and theft.

Anyways, it'll be something to treasure, for sure, once it reaches you!

Date: 5/28/17 05:00 am (UTC)The tiniest details that have gotten packages stuck in limbo were an extra digit on a suite number, a street address that was autocorrected to Way instead of Walk, and a zip code with an unclear digital.
The next time the package gets scanned it should register the intercept. Here's to hoping that's soon!
