Can you believe it's been six months since Thick as Thieves was released? Thanks for giving us a great journey with our new favorite character well my new favorite character this year, Megan, and here's your TaT themed card to celebrate.

I know you're not suppose to string together limericks like this, but I can do anything I want! You'll notice a few fandom references. I have no shame.

There was once an author born

On this day, no one was forewarned

Of not what she’d tell

Great stories she’d spell

Though her reprobates would wait so forlorn

I speak of an author so bold

That she ne’er told a soul

Of what she had wrote

Nor teased but one mote

Of dust, though we begged her so

She’d write of a thief named Gen

He stole many things, including men

He purloined a great kingdom

Even stole from other fandoms

Please, do not kill him dead

This Eddisian thief loved a queen

Of great beauty, he would preen

Though his wife, a headstrong lady

Often calls him a crybaby

Told him not to wear seafoam green

There was once a bard named Dite

He composed a song out of spite

The King’s Wedding Night it was called

He knew not the misfortune that’d befall

Him and his house, Eurondite

An Eddisian queen loved a lion

Of Sounis, he’d always be crying

For unhappy he was

He was picked on, because

He was really a dandelion

Meanwhile, an Attolian guard

On a great mission, he’d be sent afar

He’d return one bright day

And be arrested with a slave

Yelling all the way through the yard

There's one more great story we’ll read

Maybe two, we're not sure, you see

Elephants, we've been promised
They might come by next Halley's Comet
She's not telling, have some mead

I thought if I asked her nicely she might consider not killing him, which is what we're all afraid of with him being ill for two books. Worth a shot?

I'm only being factually accurate. XD She has said the last book wants to be two or a book in two parts. KoA and TaT were originally going to be the same book, so there could be two more.

I ALSO appreciate the care that Lady Jane put into those limericks. The slant rhyme at the end of the third stanza definitely packs a punch. I guess I'll go mark down Halley's Comet's next visit on my multi-decade calendar?
