The following news item set me wondering...
1. Will there ever be a King's Own Regiment within the Attolian army?
2. What would they have for a mascot?

Lol, this is so funny!

Btw, I was wondering the same thing. But I think it was implied that the Queen's Guard also guards Gen in KoA. Perhaps they just maintained its moniker.

Heh... their emblem could be this.

Don't ask me why I have a goat cameo. I just do, okay!

Didn't that one valet call Costis the King's Own Guard. Costis does seem to be in a regiment all on his own. Hmm... there's a thought.

Wait, doesn't everyone? :-)

And now I'm thinking I need a goat userpic.

"It's all about getting Shenkin used to different noises now and being around people. I take great care in making sure he's fully prepared to face the public and, when he is, he'll be in great demand."

That part of the story made me totally think of poor Gen in the public eye as King. His attendants are trying to get him used to being around people, used to assassination attempts, etc.

Well, it would be one explanation for Ornon's missing sheep...
