Memories...
Sep. 14th, 2020 10:26 pmFeeling nostalgic, I went digging in the archives and found my first post (https://sounis.livejournal.com/63111.html?view=comments#comments) Gosh, almost 14 years! It was interesting to see who is still on LJ and whose names have lines drawn through them because they've left. I hope everybody comes back to discuss the last book.
Maybe I'll go through and read the entire archive...

But Sounis will always be home.

Date: 9/16/20 10:37 pm (UTC)I think it makes Attolia Discord (as Discord is my new place to chill in) and Tumbler real Sounis, (as Tumbler is more a place that I rarely visit, and I don't see Gen visiting real Sounis alot.)

Date: 9/15/20 06:03 am (UTC)I first heard about the group in 2007 right after I'd gotten married to the individual who introduced me to the Queen's Thief series. My participation has been erratic at best, but Sounis has been my go-to for QT news/discussions/book recommendations for basically the entirety of my adult life and as much fun as other places for discussion are, Sounis will always be the heart/center of the fandom for me.

Date: 9/15/20 09:25 pm (UTC)-EmpMai2, who is EmpMai, but joined Sounis such a lifetime ago that I no longer remember, or have, whatever email address I signed up with and LJ wanted me to reconfirm my email address earlier this month.

Date: 9/15/20 10:21 pm (UTC)I had fun going back through some of the earlier posts and plan to visit more of them after my zoom meeting with the Master Gardeners tonight (which I really don’t feel like attending).
And a comment about the age of members here, relative to the link above...I think I am one of the older ones. I read The Thief when it first came out (I was working in a library, my favorite job ever!) And I was...ahem...40ish then.
