It was great chatting with everyone tonight and discussing our first ever WSK Book Club read, the first book of The Squire's Tales! We had a handful of people show, but I know there are far many more Gerald Morris fans in the community. Remember, even if you're not currently rereading the books, you can still come. We will catch you up on what you've forgotten!

We will continue this week with the second book in the series, The Squire, His Knight, and His Lady, and the chat to discuss it will be held Sunday, May 23rd at 6pm CT. Like the first book, it's a pretty quick read, so it shouldn't take you too long.

During the chat, the topic came up of what elements of the story are original and what are from Arthurian cannon. I just remembered that Overly Sacarstic Productions did a couple of great videos summarizing the development of Arthurian mythos. Check them out for a quick history lesson.

Overly Sarcastic Productions: King Arthur

Overly Sarcastic Productions: The Knights of the Round Table

BONUS!
Ted-Ed: Is there any truth to the King Arthur legends?

Happy questing reading!

I tried to sign in and join the conversation, but had a momentary brain freeze and forgot which password to use. By the time I had it, LJ had blocked me. Sorry I missed the fun.
