Oh my god, it's February! Before the Holidays, we decided on E. Nesbit's Enchanted Castle, as our stand-alone winter read for the While She Knits Bookclub.

A recommendation from MWT, this book was published in 1907, so we're reaching pretty far back in the timeline.

Jerry, Jimmy, and Cathy stumble upon a mysterious castle with a beautiful princess asleep in the garden. The princess is really Mabel, the housekeeper's niece, who is only pretending to be royalty. But when she shows them a secret room filled with treasure where they discover a magical ring, enchantment becomes a reality.

Let's plan for the chat to be Sunday, March 9th, in the Conspiracy Room at Noon PT/1pm MT/ 2pm CT/ 3pm ET. The date is flexiable if for some reason you can't make the chat. Just let me know. So put the book on hold or listen on Spotify Premimium, like I plan to do, and we'll see you at the chat!

I've ILL'd the book and expect it will arrive in time for me to read before the chat. Looking forward to it!

Through the randomness of ILL, I ended up with the edition illustrated by Paul. O. Zelinsky. Seems appropriate.

For some reason, sounis is not sending me notifications any more, so I completely missed this. I just checked it out from the library and will try to get it read. I can't promise I can be at the chat, I may be meeting family for a get together that day. We'll see!
