Who has seen 300!? All the guys at my high school are obsessed with it leaving all the girls in their usual speculation, not really getting it. Just like Star Wars.

It was nice to see some more good 'ol Greek culture at the movies (Yes, I know Gen lives in a 'Byzantine world, but deep down, we all know its Greek at heart tehehehe.)

I'm actually not sure how many other guys lurk or contribute to this community...who else liked 300? I thought it was pretty inspiring.

The monsters are actually either deformities (the giant warrior, the guy with swords for hands), or things like elephants and rhinoceroses; both things that could have been feasible. And the movie is, all modern day stylistic-ness aside, fairly historically accurate. As for witty dialogue, there was a fair amount of it; I was pleasantly surprised. The Spartans are apparently historically renowned for it.

And I mean, it IS a movie about the battle of Thermopylae; there's going to be a LITTLE violence.

Well, yeah, but the way I heard it, it was all violence, no story. :P But I haven't seen it, so I don't know.
