Readaloud Update!

We have a lovely addition to the growing number of chapters posted in our Readaloud. aged_crone's fantastic reading of Chapter 9 is now up and available for your listening pleasure. Special thanks to checkers65477 for uploading the file, to mycenaeth for hosting the file, and of course to aged_crone for creating the file in the first place. (I think I'm starting to sound like the little red hen. ^_^)

I have finished recording my chapter! I just have to finish sticking it all together. Leslie's lovely reading has inspired me to go finish it even if my stumbling recording is embarrassing in comparison :) I'll try to email it this weekend. (Do I still email it to you?).

It's cool listening to all of our different pronunciations!

I have discovered I am not a natural book reader. Although I enjoy doing it in real life, it was hard to record as the stumbles and word substitutions became apparent!

Oh, I have the books again so I can finally record my chapters! But, alas, the end of school cometh with exams and such... please, o moderator of the Readaloud, giveth not my chapters to someone else!

Fear not participator of the Readaloud. Your chapters remain safe in your hands until you complete them or you chose to return them from whence they came. I know I'll be recording mine this summer too. Alas, for I have no microphone at school. :)

ANyway I thought of an idea, maybe someone should also do the short story. I thought that might be neat.
Also how can I get this on my Ipod? I would like that, or even on a cd.

It would be awesome if someone wanted to do the short story. That's a great idea.

You can get the .mp3 on your ipod by going to the readaloud page and right-clicking on the file. The menu should have the option of "save link as", "save target as", or something similar. (If you have a Mac, this is different and I probably can't help you.) Click that and then hit ok when the box comes up to save it. (Make sure you remember where it is saved so you can find it again.) Once the file downloads, open your itunes and import it from wherever you saved it on your computer. That should do it. :)

I thought I would say that I have a mic that makes it sound sorta breathy and sounds like I have a head cold, so if someone else wants my chapter then give it to them, because this sounds alright but nowhere near as good as anyone elses

While I hate to say no to people, Chapter 11 of KoA has already been claimed. The list didn't show the claim because I (being the procrastinator that I am) forgot to update it again. Sorry for the confusion!

Also, there are still a few chapters of The Thief available, if you'd like to read one of those. But please, if you want to request a chapter, do it at the readaloud thread (click here) (http://community.livejournal.com/sounis/39728.html)
