Hello, I've been lurking for a while now and have finally decided to introduce myself.  :]

I first discovered The Queen of Attolia in 7th grade for a book report. I read it, didn't get it, so I switched to another book. I was an idiot.
Moving on the 10th grade, high school library, fiction section. I spy a very new looking, hardcover book titled The King of Attolia. .....That sounds awfully familiar. So I checked out the book, made the connection between the two books, and proceeded to fall in love with the series. Naturally, I had to go track down a copy of The Thief, and anytime I go re-read any of the books, I stand in awe of Ms. Turner's writing. 

I'm wondering if anyone has read M.K. Hobson's The Native Star? It's a really good book, and the title for the head of the Mirabilis Institute is called Sophos! Sophos! HA!  (unfortunately, the guy who was Sophos during the story isn't as cool as the Queen's Thief Sophos)
