This is a thread for ideas about the next book. What's Gen going to do about Nahuseresh? What will happen to Costis? Is Sophos really dead?

Oh, and I think it would be really, really cool if there was an actual dancing bear in the next book. Just a circus passing through town, or something, with a very fierce bear. Wearing a ruffle. :)

Costis might object. Bears tend to take up a lot of room and smell strongly of fish.

On a more serious note...
circus bears in the past, perhaps medieval times (too lazy to check) were often abused and had their claws removed, so they couldn't fend for themselves even if they were released (anyone read Cathrine, Called Birdy--scene I'm thinking of)

so I could totally see Gen trying to free the bear, and in all seriousness ask his wife if they could keep it in the garden or something
