I'm a little late for people on the East coast or most other continents, but I just thought I'd remind everyone that we are now in the home stretch. Today is the 21st of February, which is a short month with only 28 days in it. Unless I forgot about a leap day somewhere... No, I don't think I did. That being the case, I think it's safe to say we're officially just 1 month away from Conspiracy of Kings. (28 + 2 = 30 which is my idea of a standard month.) Anyone else want to have a squee fest with me?

I admit, I've gone back to the HarperCollins site to reread the first few teaser chapters of CofK in elated celebration. More than once. And I have ordered a shirt online, which should be delivered any day now... It looks like this. Obsessed, you say? Why, thank you! I would have put more words on it but my budget was kind of prohibitive. And I hope that link worked, if not I can post a picture.

That is a good quote for a T-shirt! I know, I realized after I ordered it that I probably should have put something on the back like "King of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner" just so that people I didn't get the chance to indoctrinate personally could still read me like a walking billboard, but I forgot. And that was an extra ten bucks anyway. I AM STILL SO EXCITED.

Squeee! I already have a reservation in one of our local bookstores. It's a good thing they have it pre-ordered so no need for me to order from bookstores abroad (I live in Manila). Caaaaan't wait! :)

Yay! This is more exciting than waiting for the release of the final Harry Potter book! Sort of....it is more exciting, but there are fewer excited people to help out with the fever pitch. I'm pretty certain my local book store is not doing a midnight release of CoK. *sigh*

You should just show up at 10:30 or something, all decked out in homemade fan stuffs and refuse to leave the store. When they're trying to kick you out, you can just act all surprised and say you're waiting for the release of A Conspiracy of Kings. It'd be fun if you could find several other fans in the area to do it with you.

You know, the release date of this book is PERFECT. All my projects, reports, tests, and all other sources of stress will be done and gone by March 23.

Um, do we have Ms Turner's permission to use her words? (Maybe that's what you're referring to, TLE, I don't know) I am not a lawyerly type, so, anyone out there who would know for sure? I, for one, would love to be a walking billboard! And, it's definitely getting harder for me now, too, to wait.

I'm pretty sure it's legal for a fan to make him or herself a shirt with a quote on it as long as you're not planning on selling it to someone. Honestly I haven't checked. In reality, it won't matter unless Ms. Turner objects, and if she does, I'll be personally honored to burn the shirt I made in recognition of her wishes. (Please don't make me burn it, it arrived today and it looks really cool!)

Please ignore my stupidity. I knew that. My friend has reminded me enough times. I think I have that mind set right now because the third and last bookof Hunger Games is coming out soon and other amazing series are ending... I just forgot that the Gen and Attolia party hasn't ended yet. There is still time for them to have children... And for Gen to grow taller than Attolia... And fir us to figure out a semi definitive age for Gen! Yaaaaay.
I'm going to crawl into a hole and brood now T_T
