Well I just took my Biology paper today, and I could not resist.

So there was this question, where we had to list every mistake Galen made in the following theory about how blood passes through the septum, which is impossible, and that blood can be used up, or that it flows in one direction at any given point in time, before changing direction at the next. It was funny to us, though it was advance in their time.

So I was wondering, what sort of old school medicine do they practice, besides administering lethium, or the nasty practice of cauterisation.

Any thoughts?

They didn't have antibiotics, so there was a real danger of dying of infection, as Gen nearly did. Twice. But Petrus, who comes across as quite state-of-the-art, could stitch wounds. Hot wine with herbs doesn't sound like it would do a whole lot of good for whatever they think is wrong with Gen, but I suppose it wouldn't do him any harm, either.

No mention of leeches or bleeding a person, thank gods.
