Well, we can't have that, so here's my (very silly) contribution!

Featuring the only Lego I had readibly available. That's right--my Frodo fridge magnet!

In which Frodo gets lost on his way to Mordor... ("Mordor, Gandalf, is it left or right?")


Get to the hobbit and you know you're halfway to Methana...


Poor Frodo. Perhaps he can detour to the Sacred Mountain and toss the Ring there?

*resists the urge to apologize for this far-fetched and admittedly feeble attempt* I hope this at least inspires a few more of you to enter the contest! Look at it this way: I'm not exactly fierce competition! ;)

This is adorable! Frodo is so lost he ended up in the wrong series!

Hobbit at half-way to Methana definitely qualifies as a scene from the books. Gen just looks a lot like Frodo for some reason. *shrugs*

Doesn't Gen's hair go curly after it's cut short? And there's the anxious expression. And who knows, maybe that's a wooden sword. Conclusion: Frodo makes a half(ling)-decent stand-in for Gen. :p

Hey, this is inspiring! I just wish I hadn't finally given away my Legos last year -- they now belong to some very young neighbors and apparently (http://meganwhalenturner.tumblr.com/post/157267933642/im-starting-to-worry-that-somewhere-little) it's worrying to steal from children...

I'm so glad you're inspired!!

A friend once complained, "Frodo ALWAYS looks scared!" I suppose he has good reason.

But hey, isn't there something in the books about Gen looking younger when asleep? I want to say it was an observation made by Eddis, or maybe Attolia, when they realized how much stress he'd been under.

So: Poor Frodo = Poor Gen.

Tee-hee! You guys all have such modern Lego compared to mine :D But yeah, we can't have Megan feeling sad... I shall have to risk my mom thinking I'm batty and ask for my boxes from the loft...

ps. JOY. JOY. JOY. I have just remembered that I DO have a Lego key-ring in the kitchen dresser!!! Wait for it.... [like, I do really have to cook dinner and such /before/ I start playing with Lego ;) ]

Ha, I grew up playing with my older brother's Legos, dating from the early 80's. I know they're in a box somewhere, carted through four or five or six moves. >_<

Frodo is a more recent acquisition. :)

I had lego that I think were inherited from older siblings, possibly brothers. They were donated to Goodwill when I outgrew them, so I sadly have no lego for this contest.

Apparently, lego were a “boy" toy? XD I find this hilarious, because I loved building spaceships with lego, but also had eyebrow raising number of barbies and teacups.

PS: Also, I fail to see the distinction between dolls and action figures.
