So....is Helen/Eddis marries Sophos/Sounis....does she also become Sounia? We know she chose to be called Eddis instead of Eddia, despite her gender. Would she accept the name of Sounia?

OR is it just generally going to be assumed that she has no power over the country of Sounis and HE'll have no power of the country of Eddis, so there's no need for them to take respective titles?

On an unrelated note, a coworker asked if the book I was reading was related to my computer wallpaper. No, not exactly...but in a way...

Sounis and Eddis have (independently?) pledged to Attolis.
Sounis first, and required of Eddis for approval of marriage by Attolis.
With respect to non-internal matters (only).

I don't recall it being mentioned in CoK about the relationship between Sounis and Eddis with respect to governance of Sounis/Eddis internally.
In fact, very little is even alluded to in TaT about the internal matters of Sounis and Eddis.

However, Ornon is now Eugenides' ambassador to Medea, and Ornon is of Eddis, so that would indicate with respect to international/external matters, the 3 countries are unified under the (sole) leadership of Attolis/Eugenedes.

Did I get that right???

In real world terms:
1. The title assumed by a consort of a reigning monarch depends on the terms of the individual marriage treaty.
2. A person with multiple titles is [almost] always addressed by their highest ranking title. [Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall is an exception] So, as both Sophos and Helen are reigning monarchs of their respective countries, if being announced by a herald or such they would continue to be "Sounis Sophos and Eddis Helen," because that title ranks higher than their title as consort.
