Bookmarks

Today I was given* a bookmark, which has on it a book I rather thought Eugenides might be interested in!



(Tove Janson’s ‘Moominmama’ reading How to build an empire)

This left me wondering, though...

1. What would Gen think of bookmarks?
(Yes, I know, they have scrolls. But bookmarks are small, precious, slip easily into pockets … perfect for Gen!)

2. What is MWT’s favourite bookmark?
(A big leather fob with ‘Not Telling’ embossed on it, I’m guessing ;P )

3. What are your favourite bookmarks? And why?
(Go on, photos...!)

I usually use torn off bits of junk mail, squares of toilet paper, sticky notes cut into about 8 strips to make them last longer...

I have never used toilet paper (lol) but I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets economical with my sticky notes. Though lately I've been getting them in big packages from the dollar store and keeping 5 or 10 in the end pages of whatever I'm currently reading, so I can mark passages on the go. :)

My brother used to buy special sticky notes that came ready cut into strips for his law degree reading, but they were Not At All economical!
