Hi! I've been meaning to pop round for awhile to propose this, but I'm shy.

I also don't know how to run a gift exchange, I was just looking at the big block of instructional text on AO3 and my eyes glazed over. However I really love gift exchanges -- remember how lively the one was right after Thick and Thieves was released?? I feel like I don't want to miss out on that momentum again, with our very last book release upon us.

+ So, first things first... [livejournal.com profile] pendrecarc are you still around/have any interest in running another exchange for us?

+ Second things second: anyone else have any interest in running an exchange for us?

+ Third things third: is there enough interest in participating to drive me to overcome my Luddite ways and figure out how to run thee exchange myself?

--> Basically I'm just looking for a show of hands of people who'd be interested in participating, keeping in mind the timing of it all; The Book drops in early October so the exchange might be encroaching on the typically busy autumn/winter holidays season.

Be blessed, friends

Not sure what this entails, but it sounds like fun and I'd be interested in participating :)

A gift exchange is basically the same as a secret Santa project. You make a request, and someone else's request is assigned to you to "fill." This can be done with fanfic, fanart, any type of fandom art, really.

They are a lot of fun!

Sorry, it took me so long to get to you on this. It's finals time!

Anyhow... last I heard from Pendrecarc, she was planning a gift exchange for the summer of 2019 before the OG release date was updated. Not sure if she's still planning to run it, but I have been meaning to contact her about that. I would definitely like to see a gift exchange happen post-release of RoT.

Would you like to email her at hamiathesmod@gmail.com? That would be super helpful. If she's not interested in managing it again, I was planning to work on it myself, hopefully with the help of some volunteers.

We could do a holiday gift exchange this year, since RoT comes out in October.
