Questions about KoA
Jan. 31st, 2007 02:59 pmRecently I have successfully recommended the Thief series to my friend. She just finished KoA days ago and also loves the books very much. Now I'm persuading her to join this community. We happily discussed about the stories, but there are still some questions we couldn't figure out (which is also my own question when I first read KoA, but I forgot to ask).
What role did Laecdomon play in the last part of the book, when they were sparring? It seems that Eugenides, Attolia and Ornon didn't think that Laecdomon was a threat, but Costis and Teleus thuoght he was, and then how did the others think about Leacdomon? Did they know that Laecdomon wanted to kill the king? And what Eugenides said to Teleus,"'Ornon wasn't thinking of circus tricks. He knew that if Laecdomon had ever become a real threat, I would have disemboweled him. Did you forget?' He raised his lamed arm, and looking at the truncated limb, they remembered the deadly nature of the replacement for his missing hand." What does it mean? And what does Laecdomon have to do with the missing hand? We just could'nt make the whole thing clear. Please let us know your opinions, thanks~
Oh, and another insignificant question, how old do you think Ornon is?
