Why I Need An ARC of Thick As Thieves

To see which of my predictions for major plot developments in Thick As Thieves actually comes true.


Gen, Irene, Sophos, and Helen's tropical vacation to one of those all-inclusive resorts on the island of Thegmis is interrupted by news that the Mede army is on the move.



Meanwhile, Nahusersquish, humiliated by Attolia, decides he does want to strangle his slave, Kamet, but the wily secretary escapes.



After stealing a boat and some random treasure, Kamet meets up with the missing Costis, who has been practicing the Mede language along with his pet monkey, Bob. (Hey, it could happen.)



Costis and Kamet's relationship turns into a buddy-movie bromance, with wine and shenanigans galore.



Anachronisms? Yes, please! Tired of those hated horses, Gen prefers to travel:

On his motorcycle.



By car.



Or even in his airplane.



And since you can't strangle a man with just one hand, Gen finds a drone the perfect way to finally defeat Nahuserfish.



Bundle of joy? Or just their laundry? We may have to wait until the next book to find out.

Steering the drone with one hand might be hard too, but maybe he could get a cuff attached to the remote, so it's like another false hand?

This was hilarious!! I love Gen's vehicles! And Bob! I for sure I'm looking for some Costis/Kamet bromance. They'll be the best of bros, I know it.

As for the last pic, hm, it could definitely be a burrito too, you know? Let's not dismiss that possibility XD

I COLORED A COTTON BALL WITH A RED SHARPIE AND TWISTED BITS OF IT INTO POINTS.

It was really hard. And my fingers were red the rest of the day. But totally worth it.

It could definitely be a burrito! Or even part of a rolled up kleenex.

Or a chunk of clay because Attolia has decided that since nobody else has made a really extraordinary bust of her (unlike Nefertiti), she's going to have to do it herself.

Or a giant piece of saltwater taffy from Thegmis.

Or a lovely piece of white cloth out of which she's going to make Gen a new nightshirt so he'll quit using hers.

AHHH! I haven't read this yet, but I'm commenting first to say how happy I am to see the return of Legottolia! (No idea how to spell that.) This has always been one of my favorite things anyone in the Sounis community ever did. Thanks checkers!

Aw, thanks! I'd forgotten how much I love playing with my little Legottolia people. I wish the quality of the pics was better but there was no sunlight that day and I just couldn't coax more light into the room. But I'm glad you liked it.
