This is the fun love ballad version (a completely different song, yes, but about the same thing)

Under the Orange Trees


In the recording I actually had to drop the gold bees reference for timing purposes, but I swear I sing it live. ^-^
I so love the conversations we've had about bees, and oranges, and the really bizarrely sweet Attolia/Gen affair, and so this one is literally for Sounis.

That's who I wrote this for:

I can't take credit for much: lyrics are mostly due to MWT & Sounis Community, and while I use the voice the best I can I really just arrived with it, but I'm kinda proud of how this turned out, anyway!

I can't wait to have a new book and *new fanart material*. (For the other talented artists, mostly. There's a Magus picture I need to go dig up from the archives...)

Anachred, this is gorgeous! I'm so disappointed that I didn't listen before, cause I was missing out and didn't know it.

Ok, I confess when I first saw the lyrics I was little dubious. I recognised some of the thoughts from Sounis, and wasn't sure how well they'd work as a song, but I shouldn't have doubted! They did, and beautifully. I loved this:

You have a lovely voice, and I love the guitar, steady, but with that little skip to it. My favourite bit was the flute, though. It was such a lovely melody.
