Here's my favorite quote from this one: "It makes me happy that there are a number of people for whom my books are exactly what they like best."

To which I say, "Thanks very much, Megan, for writing them!"

Hi all. I wanted to share this link to a blog where a handful of YA authors (MWT included) share their thoughts on morals, values and lessons in YA literature. Fascinating reading!!

ETA: Plus, we get a peek into why jacket design and copy are so important to MWT, and why she intentionally included a curse in the first twenty pages of TT.

I found this on Greenwillow's blog page, sorta. It's a link to a live chat with MWT on Sunday, March 14th! (and I figured out how to post the link and everything!!)

Over at the [livejournal.com profile] enchantedinkpot our very own [personal profile] rj_anderson  has posted an interview with author Patricia C. Wrede.  Ms. Wrede is a big fan of the Attolia books.  You can read the interview here.

An older interview mentions Megan's books, too.

Which then reminded me of this discussion from Ms. Wrede about how writers move their stories forward.  It's filled with terrific examples from The King of Attolia.

(rj, you look lovely in your photo.  Oh, and I'm sorry I clicked on "join" when I meant to click on "watch".  oopsie.)

Ok so I was thinking about all the questions I would want to ask Gen, Irene and all the other KoA characters. I decided to post it all here to share and possibly get some answers. Some of the questions are downright strange and others have some content in them.

EDIT: I have added new questions, have fun guys ;).

There's a cool article by Terry Pratchett here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1028222/I-create-gods-time--I-think-exist.html

with extra insights on epiphanies.

It's a cool contrast with some of Gen's moments of epiphany [drunken & otherwise ;)]

Enjoy!

Hello, all. I used to be semi-active in this community, but then school kicked in an I had to choose between lj and passing my classes, so I stopped reading. I'm not sure if anyone has posted this link already, but I just stumbled across a very interesting e-mail conversations between MWT and Shannon Hale on Shannon's blog, and I thought that people here might be interested. So. It can be found here: http://oinks.squeetus.com/2007/09/squeetus-excl-2.html
