In keeping with The Rules Of Three, after being poked three times over the past several months about the Japanese versions of these books, I ordered them through amazon.co.jp.

It was An Adventure.  Even though I  chose the English version of the site, very little was really in English.  I wasn't entirely sure what I was getting until the box was delivered (about three days later, OMG!).  Thank heavens they have a roman numeral featured in the title, so you can have an idea of which book is which.   They are beautiful!!!!!  Since the posts are quite image heavy, I will break them down by book.

I'm re-reading The Thief, and reached page 8 when I noticed this:

The Magus to Gen: "'We might someday attain a relationship of mutual respect,' he said softly. First, I thought, I will see gods walking the earth."

True. He does. And then they do.

For some reason I get a very big kick out of that.

Queen of Attolia is in two volumes.  The two together are a little bigger than the US version of KoA.

King of Attolia is notably different from the other books.  A different artist drew the pictures; the paper is different, although still much nicer than the US version; the pages are glued, not stitched; there is no vellum.   There are still the wonderful chapter icons, however.

I'm probably going to hate myself for sharing this instead of keeping the secret to myself, but...I would rather see someone in this community get it.

Anyone from Ohio know of Eton Square, near Beachwood Mall and Legacy Village? There's an Anthropologie, Sur La Table, Trader Joe's, and lots of really, really expensive clothing stores because everything in the Beachwood area is expensive?

Right, well, the Barnes & Noble there has a hardcover copy of KoA. And it's autographed.
